VAIO Z Canvas

Last February, the new VAIO presented two convertible tablets VAIO VAIO Z and Z Canvas. This is the first two devices will hit the market with the known VAIO logo after the purchase by Japan Industrial Partners (JIP) to Sony, which was almost forced to part with their laptops section. The focus has shifted, and now it seems that choose closer line to mobile devices, and its arrival in stores is a matter of days, at least in Japan. Will they arrive these devices also the European market?

After years in which sales had not been enough to keep afloat the VAIO product range and the supposed hole in the accounts of the company, Sony decided to divest this division and the buyer was another Japanese company, Japan Industrial Partners (JIP). We all wondered what would become of the brand, because at first it seemed that their products would be for the local market, leaving aside the international deployment of Sony. But things have changed, the VAIO Z Canvas is a device with the potential to gain a foothold and certainly want to make the work done to get the maximum benefit.

Next, week the team goes on sale in Japan and as declared by the company, it will be available in the US next fall. Undoubtedly, an indication that their goals are beyond Japan’s borders. We therefore hope that the “Monster Tablet” VAIO as they themselves call it, runs also landing in major markets in Europe, in direct competition with Microsoft Surface and with few rivals who so far have been on the ropes.

Canvas VAIO Z has a 12.3 inch screen with 2,560 x 1,704 pixel resolution, Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. As good productive tablet includes a detachable keyboard and a stylus that will variety and versatility to the team for use by professionals and students. Its starting price goes up $ 1,800, not cheap, but it falls within expected if compared to the version of similar specifications Surface Pro 3. If you have a problem, which is that by not having models economic, Surface 3 and therefore cheaper versions of Surface Pro 3, including Surface Pro 4 could already be in the market when VAIO appear in Europe, offer a wider range of possibilities.
