Begins to crowd the smartphone sector modular: after the famous Ara Project of Google, in recent weeks we have had a look at Vsenn, project involving a former Nokia employee. Today here jump out Puzzlephone, a new modular smartphone which should arrive on the market in the second half of 2015.

Designed by Finnish startup Circular Devices, Puzzlephone consists of three basic parts that can be replaced: The Brain (the brain) contains the main electronic components, including the camera, The Spine (the backbone) contains the display, speakers and microphones, The Heart (heart) instead includes the battery alone.

The device will have a version “forked” of Android, but the manufacturer provides support to other operating systems like FirefoxOS, Sailfish or Windows Phone. As we mentioned, Puzzlephone should arrive on the market in the second half of 2015 at a price similar to that of a mid-range smartphone.
